Working with the production of the printing material – the beautiful handmade paper – has its own unique fascination.
In my Typesetting and printing studio, the ancient craft of papermaking has found its own special place. Even the shape of the papermaking frame and the stitching of a watermark reveal the craftsmanship – and the individual watermark also indicates the paper's origin. Equipped with handmade moulds, the papermaking process begins. After couching and drying, nothing stands in the way of the individual use of these unique papers. Here, every sheet has its own story, whether made from new pulp or from a variety of recycled materials.

The heart of my traditional Typesetting and printing studio lies in its historic printing presses.
Whether using a hand-operated platen press, a treadle press, a toggle press, or a Korrex proofing press, the work is carried out just as it was in days gone by. In doing so, we consciously return to the origins of the book printing in the era of Johannes Gutenberg. Just as in the past, the aim today is to rewrite stories (literally) through knowledge, skill, and a love for the craft—creating unique pieces of true value.
